Christmas Wishlist 2011

Last year I blogged about my Christmas wish dated December 2 also! Whoah! Coincidentally. :))

Unlike last year my wishlist this year is simple. I wouldn't be wishing about those pricey things anymore.  Let's just say I've grown mature a bit. ^^,

So here are my wishes this year:

1. HOME

I grew up in an extended family. I've been staying at my grandparents' house for 24 years already.  I wanted to experience how it feels like to have a house on your own before I settle down.hehe.  It doesn't matter if the house is not as big and as gorgeous as the others.  As long as we have a house on our own, that what matters most.  I wish my parents would take risk in building our house we can call ours.

2. TRUST

I know it's hard to earn trust and I've been trying to earn my parents' trust.  I so want their trust.  I know they trust me to some other things, but the one that i'm dying to have..naaaaah! I bet not.  I hope one day, someday, when I try to ask permission from them, they'll be open-minded to accept it.  They won't mind other people's opinion.  I'm crossing my fingers for that day to come.

and lastly. . .

3. PEACE and LOVE

Just like my last year's post. I wish for Peace and Love. I guess I'll be wishing for it all the time. Material things might make you happy but it won't  really give genuine happiness.  Yes, you may have all those new stuff but without peace and love in your heart and in your surroundings, those stuff are just nothing.

This year, I won't be expecting any presents from anybody because the more I expect the bigger the disappointment.hehe.  All I really want now is to have all my wishes this year be granted.  That's all! :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

FASHION BLOG: A Time For Some Relaxation

This would be my first ever fashion blog.haha. But I guess, those aren't the right words.  I don't even know if this considered to be a fashion blog.hehe.  All I know is that, I took picture to what I was wearing and then tsaaaadaaaa...posted it here.

Anyway, the first photo was taken at Cagayan de Oro's airport.  I was wearing my mom's blouse.lol.  It looked good on me though.  So that blouse is already mine (evil laugh).  I never really thought that the blouse is super alimuot even though it has a lot of holes!hahaha.  I think it's perfect for a cold weather.hmmmmp. Watcha think??!

The second photo was taken at San Lorenzo Ruiz Filipino-Chinese Catholic Parish, Cagayan de Oro.  I was wearing a green with white and black striped dress. Bought it in Divisoria, Manila.  I paired it with my ukay2x sandals.hehe.  Try to critique my look, you won't figure out I wore cheaper dress and sandals. Right?  Let's just say, it's a matter of DISKARTE.hahaha. watever!hehe

Before i'll end this post, I want to ask what have you observed?  I guess, you noticed my little red bag.  Yeah! It's always with me everywhere I go.hehehe. :))

REMIND ME TO COUNT MY BLESSINGS, PLS!

This month has not been in favor to me. Everything (both bad and good) had just happened so unexpectedly. I was never prepared to meet them.  I guess that's the beauty of life.  Problems and happy times will just knock right through your door just like an unexpected guests.  I know I have always reminded myself that "I AM A STRONG PERSON", but I think I was not that convincing at all. I have failed to believe the thought I want myself to be.  I want to think about happy thoughts just like what Peter Pan told Windy and her company, but failed.  How can I let those happy thoughts get through my veins?  Too hard for me to do that.  Perhaps, my body and soul are full of negative vibes.:(( Now there goes...IF ONLY . .blah blah blah.....

Ever since I was young, I was already exposed to life's cruelty.  I know I was hurt, but was not that mindful at all because as long as I could play, everything's gone.  But now, even if you wanted to forget it, you just can't.  You need to solve it or else you'll be stuck to that problem for the rest of your life.

I always wonder why I was not that lucky like the others? Why at a very young age, was already exposed to different kinds of problems?  Why even shouldered the biggest responsibilities of others? Why can't enjoy things others enjoy?  My life is full of WHYs???  But then I realized, I shouldn't mourn about all those things, instead be thankful that it happened.  It'll teach me if not great, greatest lessons.

Today, I tweeted this: giba'g gilukdo ang gisagubang nga mga suliran. paet aning kinabuhi sa pobre!

Tweeted it because I was so mad.  I was mad at them because they throw everything to me.  Can't they see it, I don't always have everything. Too sad to think they seem not to mind.

Then I got this: Those who mourn should be happy because they will be comforted- Matthew 5:4.

I was being reminded by God that I should not mourn for He will comfort me.  I feel better now.  Thank God for helping me remember that I am not alone.

14 months. (Miracle happens. . . )

The weather was not in its best. So instead of going out to stroll around the city, we ended up sitting and talking outside my house.  I wonder why the weather is mad all the time. Naningil na guro si Mother Earth sa katawhan.  :)

I received something from him on our 14th month.  It was not the usual him.  He seldom gives me something on our monthsary.  So, I do believe miracles do happen which I have believed long time ago.hehe

He gave me DOM-KUN stuff!  One of my favorites.

stick-on memo, mouse pad & notebook.
It was so cute and sweet of him to give me such.  He even had a description in each:

DOMO stick-on memo:  since I'm so forgetful (due to old age.haha) already, I need it for me to write my to-do list! Just made that description since my wabby dabby doo (the bf) couldn't find any description to it. failed!hehe

DOMO MOUSE PAD: "because you're a computer addict, you need to have this." -Shane (the bf)
This is his favorite of the three. :)

DOMO NOTEBOOK: "I know you love to write, so this notebook is just perfect for you." -Shane (the bf)

In my case, as always I give him customized stuff.  I prefer to make something than buying.  Why should I buy when I can make it my own.hahaha.

Even though we didn't celebrate as bongga as the others, we still had a good time. What's important, we were together celebrating it.  It's not about the celebration that counts, it's the love you both share.

25 THINGS WOMEN SHOULD KNOW ABOUT MEN
by: Joanne Zapanta-Andrada (Philippine Star- July, 24, 2011)

If men could speak through this column, they would say:

1. Our habits and routines are set in stone.  Please don't even think of changing what we like to wear, do and eat.  Tossing out those grimy sneakers will result in civil war.

2.  Our health is not our problem, but yours (and please make it so).  If we fall sick from eating or imbibing too much of the wrong things, we expect you to baby us, and to make us well.

3.  If you want to be loved for more than your anatomy, don't listen to the lady newscaster reporting on the imminent collapse of half of Europe's economies, only to chirp, "She should've parted her hair on the other side. "

4.  The best way to a man's heart is through his ego.  Often, it's the only thing bigger than our stomachs.

5.  Men lose about five words a day from their memory.  Somewhere between saying "I LOVE YOU" for the first time and celebrating their 25th wedding anniversaty, they've lost a whole dictionary.  But don't worry- that grunt does mean " YOU'RE THE MOST WONDERFUL  PERSON I'VE BEEN BLESSED TO KNOW, AND THANK YOU FOR BEARING UP WITH ME, SWEETIE."

6.  Men were once babies, too, and a little cuddling, massage and a hug after a long day is always welcomed.

7.  Unless it is a life or death situation, please do not bother us during sports match on TV.

8.  We rarely share our thoughts and feelings so during the few occasions when we do get out of our cave and open up to you, genuine attention and acknowledgement would be much appreciated.

9.  Yes we like looking at pretty women, on the street or in movies and magazines.  But please do not say that we are the only ones who do this as we have only two words to say in response: BRAD PITT.

10.  We love cars.  The way they look, feel and ride turn us on.  Please do not complain about it.  Men can obsess about worst things, right?

11.  Women use an average of 25,000 words a day.  Men use only about 10,000.  Please don't expect us to keep up.  This is a contest we would gladly lose.

12.  We love our hair more than you do because we may have to say goodbye to it sooner.

13.  Men who honor their mothers make better husbands.

14.  When we have problems, we do not want to get sidelined by analyzing our feelings about it.  We just want a definite solution to rid ourselves of it.

15. If you need something from us, say it!  We are lousy at picking up hints.

16.  If we ask you what is wrong and you answer, "Nothing." we are surprised why you get angry,  Aren't we supposed to believe you?

17.  We are not blessed with multi-tasking abilities like you.  So please do not disturb us at work unless it is an emergency.

18.  If you are going through a hormonal phase, please do us the courtesy of a verbal announcement.  We do not want to realize in the hard way.

19.  We have the attention span of fleas so when relating a story, please opt for the Cliff Notes version.

20.  Please do not nag.  Our romantic partners should not resemble our mothers.

21.  If you think we drive too fast, you should see us when you are not in the car.

22.  Even if it isn't true, we would appreciate it if you act as though we are in charge.  Our egos depend on this illusion.

23.  Yes, the skimpy outfit looks hot on you but no way are you wearing it outside our dressing room.

24.  Our jobs define who we are so those long hours at the office are just that.  Long hours.

25.  We love sex.  We think about sex.  Life without sex isn't worth living.  We think about sex all the time.  It doesn't mean that we are pigs and it does not mean that we will fool around.  It's just that . . .did we tell you how much we love sex?

1st PRIZE WINNER!

Last July 9, I was awarded as the first ever 1st PRIZE winner of VEE LINES photo contest via FB (facebook). To win in this said contest, your edited photo must have the most likes.  It doesn't matter if you edited it well or not, what matter most is that you get the most likes.

disregard my typo family name.hehehe

I wouldn't be able to win in this contest without the help of my family, friends, and friends of friends.hehe. weeeeeeee! It was nice to be announced as winner despite the fact that the fight between me and my 2nd placer was such a really closed one.  Thought I ended up second.  Good thing I was able to catch up.  Thank you to all my supporters.hehe

Anyway, allow me to thank those people who made me the 1st prize winner. Words are not enough how thankful I am that you all had been so very supportive with me from the 1st day to the very last. THANK YOU!

I wanna thank my whole family, tambuli co-workers, friends, classmates, schoolmates, my bf,  friends of friends, etc. for the support. I even asked them to let their online and offline friends to like my pic. Oh well! They just did!hehe.whew! I feel so loved. I greatly appreciate all your efforts just for me to win. It's all worth it! DOMO ARIGATO GOZAIMASU. GAM SAM NI DA. TA. SALAMAT!wheewww. tanang thank you in all languages are not enough jud kon unsa ko kamapasalamaton ninyong tanan.

I also want to thank those people who didn't give any support.  Thank you for not supporting me.  I'm sorry for the disturbance as well.  I just hope when the time comes that you needed a support, you will be able to get it. : D (here's a big smile for yah all!)

This coming saturday (July 16, 2011), the winners of the said contest would be having a dinner in some restaurant in the city (place is still to be advised) as well as Ms. Lady Vee the owner of Vee Lines.  I'm so excited to meet all of them and what a small world it is, because all the winners are from Lapu-Lapu. Cheeeers!

VEE LINES 1ST ANNIVERSARY!

Vee lines is owned and managed by Lady Veedever Igano herself of Boljoon Cebu.  It is an online business that sells pre-loved/pre-owned items such as blouses, dresses, accessories, and shorty shorts.  Her business is exclusive for Philippine buyers only.  For Cebu buyers, she does meet-ups at Ayala-Fruit Magic beside Fully booked & Sunburst (3:00-4:30 pm), and SM- Brownies in between  Jollibee and Surplus (5:30-7:00 pm) every Saturday.  For outside Cebu buyers, she ships the items via JRS Express.  Items only be shipped once full payment is already made and shipping fee shall be shouldered by the buyer.

She started her business last July 10, 2010 (one year ago) and now she is celebrating her 1st year anniversary. As part of her anniversary, she decided to have her 1ST PHOTO CONTEST via FB (Facebook).  The contest is open to her Cebu Clients only. The mechanics of the said contest is that, clients who want to join must submit their VEEutiful picture with the item they bought from VEE LINES.  It must have these texts "HAPPY 1ST ANNIVERSARY VEE LINES", it must be creative and most especially it must be your photo.  Picture who has more likes, WIN!

I found it interesting, so I decided to submit a photo of me.hehe.  Since, I'm one of the many fans of this business (because I apparently love their shorty shorts) that was why I was convinced to join.  Oh well! It was just made out of curiosity though. Hmmp..shall I say, I was just trying my luck with this kind of contest and of course I wanna know how it feels like to win.hahaha.

I was wearing the shorty shorts I purchased @ VEE LINES!

The editing process didn't take long. I'm no expert to that.haha.  Anyway, pardon me with the two people I blurred.hehe. I had to do it, I didn't have any choice. They were not included in the contest, only I, who was included. *evil laugh (hehe.just kidding!)

There were only eight people who joined the contest and four people paid tribute.  Among the eight contestants, only two who were fighting for the first prize and one of them is me. HAHAHHA! I don't know why I was eyeing for that prize...hmmmp! I might have liked the prizes!hehe.

CONTESTANTS & THE PRIZES!

Anyway, Tiney Gumahin and me were those people who were really eyeing for the first prize.  It was a close fight between us two.  It was a friendly fight though.hehe.  I don't know with the other contestants why they didn't feel like campaigning their pics to their friends and to their friends' friends. Perhaps, only I and Tiney who made it a big deal.hehe.

Surprisingly, I got the FIRST PRIZE, TINEY got the SECOND and SANDY got the THIRD.

meet TINEY GUMAHIN.

and SANDY ESMALIN CONGSON

The contest taught me something. It taught me HARDWORK and TEAMWORK.  If it weren't because of those two things, I wouldn't be able to make it- to be the 1st ever winner of VEE LINES' ANNIVERSARY PHOTO CONTEST! and because of this contest I gained new friends.

THANK YOU VEE LINES FOR THE GREAT OPPORTUNITY! :)

JULY!

July has never been really nice to me lately.  I wonder why?!hmmmmmp?!!!! Oh July why oh why? Are you mad at me or something? Did I do something that offended you?  What seems to be your problem then? Hope before you end, we'll be able to fix everything that's been going on. Please be kind to me.

EXCLUSIVE FAMILY DINNER

For the first time in our one year together, his family had finally invited me to have dinner out with them. I've been invited to family dinner several times (I mean twice!haha), but last night was different.  It was an exclusive family dinner (his parents, older brother and sister, him and me).  It was kinda awkward, but his family made me feel comfortable except to his mother. Geeeez, I still have this odd feeling towards his mother. I don't know why. It might be because his mom doesn't really interrogate me like his father that's why I feel like his mom doesn't appreciate me to be his son's gf or maybe because his mother has this feeling of pangigi. I'm not so sure of that.  That's just my guess. It could be 5% true.hahaha. I think it's just a normal thing.hehe. Hopefully in the long run I would be able to converse with his mom comfortably. That would be so great if that time comes. ^^,

Anyway, we had dinner at Ching Palace, Lahug.  It was my first time there.  The place was nice and cozy.  I was freezing there.  The aircon was too cold for me to handle.hahaha.  Their food were all tasty, but I didn't eat a lot because I was a little full. Thanks to the bird's nest soup and Mcdo fries- ate it prior to meeting the family.  That was why I didn't really have the appetite to eat a lot. Oh well, I'm no big eater!nyeeeeeeee!hehe.

The night ended with a SMILE.  Everybody was full and satisfied. : )

My TARP!
Sponsored by my Tambuli Sales/F&B/Reservations Family.

CAKES! from left-right: Tambuli & Red Ribbon's cake.

My ever supportive younger cousins.

from top left to bottom right: w/ my beau Shane, Tambuli family, cousin Pai, College friends.

Still a HAPPY BIRTHDAY though.

Expect less to avoid unnecessary disappointments!

Days before my birthday I was so busy preparing for it.  From my tarp down to what food I should be preparing.  I admit, I was so EXCITED!  I even dreamt about it!  I even cried in my dreams because the cakes served weren't the cakes I wanted.  I felt so angry to myself for being so irresponsible.  Good thing it was only just a dream.

On the day of my birthday, I went to church and lit a candle. I thanked God for giving me another year to celebrate.  I was so ecstatic and excited.  I was hoping that it would turn out better than last year, but it didn't.  I guess my 23rd was still the best so far.

It was so depressing to admit that your valued friends weren't there to celebrate with you. Even if how many times you texted them, but couldn't receive a single reply. Your neighboring cousins didn't even bother to greet you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY nor drop by for a while just to say HI despite how tiring the day it was for them.  I just couldn't help myself to get sad.  I allowed myself to be sad on my birthday! It was too bad for me. I shouldn't have allowed it. Regrets...Regrets...Regrets...always come last.

Even if I was a little sad on my birthday, there were still people who cheered me up.  I thanked God for giving me these people:
>My younger cousins for always been present on my birthday ever since. They still managed to be there considering they had a dance practice on that night.
>My Sales/F&B/Reservations family for sparing their time just to be there.  They were my first visitors and they still had to wait for a while until everything's cooked.hehehe. Sorry guys for waiting!:)
>My college friends- Geraldine & Julie for inserting my birthday in their timetable. I didn't expect you would come. I got a chance to meet a new friend as well.hehe. I met Gera's friend that became my friend.
>My cousin Paiza for the gift.haha. I didn't know you'd seriously buy one. Thanks to Manang IO as well.
>My cousin Karen for trying. I did appreciate your presence. You just don't know how.hehe
>My one and only Love (Shane) for always been there for me no matter what.  He stayed with me until the end of my birthday.
>My family for all the help and support.

If there was one thing I learned on my birthday, it was that I should expect less to avoid unnecessary disappointments.
